It is time to bring this blog to an end. Every once in a while you get to experience a couple of days that manage to bend all your preconceived notions of the world, your life, and reality in general. A few things: everything is better off the mainland, life is meant to be lived barefoot with a spliff in one hand and a machete in the other, people can always manage to surprise you, and of course, there in no spoon.

I think Knight Cat said it perfectly: "life is short and time is fleeting. For that reason, I want to make sure I'm living purposefully."

For those of you who haven't heard, late yesterday afternoon the New York City Police Department arrested more than 700 demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street protests on the Brooklyn Bridge. These protesters, exercising their constitutional right to peacefully assemble, were lead onto the bridge's roadway where they were then trapped and arrested. In a country that feels they have the right to invade others all in the name of democracy I am appalled that this is how the government and law enforcement officers of my city have decided to treat it's citizens.

Is this the American we live in?

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, life got a little crazy the past week. Had a freak accident in my backyard that landed me in the hospital for 3 days, worst 54 hours of my life but theres nothing like being stuck in a hospital bed to put things in perspective. Maybe love doesn't have to be as hard as I've made it. I've been having these mini relations ever since I got out, haha. Just quit my job of a year yesterday as well.
